Survival Mode: ON
I have been done with school for a few weeks now, but job apps have completely soaked up any free time that I have outside of work, working out, eating, and my clients. I am not pleased that my blog has been put to the way side, but unfortunately it is not a priority for me at the moment.
But since it has been a while and I miss blogging, I am trying to squeeze one out before I go to work…hmm..well, you know what I mean! So since it is Monday, I would like to provide you with some motivation of sorts.
Monday is a start of a new week, so that means it is time to get back on the horse for those of you who have fallen off over the weekend, or maybe it has been longer. I saw this picture on Pinterest yesterday and thought what an awesome idea! It would be a great way to start and end each day. Glance at the sheet in the morning and decide where your target is for that day, and at the end of the day, reflect back and grade your effort. I bet if you do this for a couple of weeks, you will see a change in your effort and consistency! I plan on doing this myself and hope it keeps me more accountable and consistent.
Like my college coach used to always tell us, the top performers train well on a consistent basis. You can not expect awesome results if you don’t train consistently well. If you want your ideal body, you won’t be able to follow your macros only when it is convenient. Now I have been guilty of this and have been struggling lately. I could make up a ton of excuses, but at the end of the day I am simply not giving exceptional effort. Until I do that on a daily basis, I must settle for half-ass results.
“We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day.” – Richard G. Scott
So give this a try and see if it helps you! Join me this week and get back on that horse (or whatever you prefer to ride) and let’s have an awesome week!
